ICB Luca Awards 2019 – We’ve been shortlisted!

It’s that time of the year again, where the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) hosts their Luca Awards ceremony, to recognise and award the best in the industry!

You may recall that last year we were fortunate enough to be winners as the best “Small Training Provider of the year” and this year we’re happy to have been shortlisted once again!

About the Awards & Ceremony

The Luca Awards, dubbed ‘the Oscars of the Bookkeeping world’, is the profession’s most prestigious awards, held annually, to recognise the outstanding achievement of organisations, trainers and students in the Bookkeeping profession.

To be crowned a winner (and to even be shortlisted) in your category reflects a dedication, hard work and work ethic in the area of Bookkeeping and is a real achievement for any business within this sector. As such, we’re proud of our win last year, as it reflects the effort and work, we put into our Bookkeeping courses and qualifications, as well as the work that goes on behind the scenes within our sales and customer support teams. We're also happy to have been recognised again this year.

History of the Awards

The Luca Awards have been running since 2013, with a range of categories, including:

  •    Student of the Year
  •    Apprentice of the Year
  •    Tutor of the Year
  •    Small Training Provider of the Year (this is what we won last year)
  •    Large Training Provider of the Year, and many more!

Historically, there are two types of Luca Awards:

  1.    Awards for Bookkeepers, nominated by yourself or others. The nominations are reviewed and considered by a panel, with the details of the final five shortlisted in each category being released late October.
  2.    Awards for Bookkeeping products and services, which can be voted for by you. The voting is only opened to ICB students and members, with their decision being final. Details of the shortlisted nominees (those who get the highest votes) are released late October.
