The AAT Access Award in Bookkeeping is also the perfect springboard for becoming further qualified with the AAT Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping (Level 2).

General Bookkeeping Responsibilities & Salary

As a Bookkeeper you’ll be responsible for a few different areas of the business, including but not limited to:

  •    Recording transactions (income and outgoings)
  •    Processing payments
  •    Conducting daily banking activities
  •    Producing various financial reports
  •    Reconciling reports to third-party records such as bank statements.

Salaries range by industry, sector and role, however, industry averages of a Senior Bookkeeper are between £16,000 and £32,000 a year, with a UK average of £27,000 a year.

AAT Exam Details

The AAT require all students to join as a student member. AAT require you to register as a student member within 14 days of your course start date. This registration allows you to sit your exam and take advantage of the support and resources available. The exam fee is not included in the cost of the course.
