At e-Careers we are often asked which is the hardest exam at each level, there aren't any that stand out. When you see comments about certain exams being hard, it simply means that the individual commenting, didn't like that particular subject as much as others and therefore found it harder. At e-Careers we recommend you study each unit with an open mind and without preconceived assumptions of difficulty.
AAT is recognised internationally and is highly regarded in many countries, including the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, United States, Europe, India, China and parts of the Middle East. It is recognised in most other countries worldwide, as all countries prepare their accounts under the same International Financial Reporting Statements (IFRS's)
AAT Level 4 is just under a degree level in the UK. In Scotland, it aligns with SCQF Level 8. AAT is the employer's preference over an accounting degree.
