We have made the whole process as simple as possible.
You will have a conversation with one of our Course Consultants to discuss your current level of knowledge, experience and your career goals. The Course Consultant will then work with you to map out your personalised study plan.
The journey is typically broken into 3 stages:
Stage 1 – Training and Certification
Depending on your level of knowledge, experience and career goals our Course Consultant will discuss the most appropriate qualification for you.
Typically, our candidates study the following AAT qualifications:
Part of your AAT courses with us include modules for Sage 50 Accounting Software Level 2, Xero Advisor Certification and Microsoft Excel. This will give you hands-on training with the world’s most popular bookkeeping software.
You do not need to have completed your AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting (Level 3) qualification prior to moving to Stage 2, however you need to have commenced it. You will be required to have passed your AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting (Level 2) exams prior to moving to Stage 2.
Stage 2 – Practical Training & Work Experience
You will join us and other like-minded individuals at our classes (in your choice of London or Birmingham) to embark on a journey to gain the skills that are desperately sought-after throughout the industry.

3-Day Accounting Fast-Track (3 consecutive weekdays) – This will get you prepared for the practical training that will follow. This is particularly useful for those who have only completed AAT Level 2 or equivalent accounting qualifications, graduates who are still studying or those who haven’t worked in the industry for a long time.
6-Day Practical Training (Either Saturday or Sunday over 6 consecutive weekends) – Our practical training course is the bridge between someone who has academic knowledge and someone who is ready to enter the industry and hit the ground running. You will cover all the important elements that an entry-level Accountant would cover on regular basis. During the course, you will also be educated on all the popular bookkeeping software available in the market.
6-Day Work Experience (Either Saturday or Sunday over 6 consecutive weekends) – Under supervised conditions, you will be working on real client data and the projects will cover all the elements that you have studied throughout your programme. On completion, you will not only have the knowledge and experience, but the confidence to work in an accountancy practice, work in a company or even set up your own business. You will be able to boast this experience on your CV and demonstrate it at interview stage.
Internal Assessment – Equipped with the qualifications and work experience, your knowledge will be put to the test with an internal assessment. The assessment will be focussed on the practical elements of accounting and bookkeeping and will stand you in good stead before you enter the industry.
Stage 3 - Interviews and Job Placement
In the final stage of your journey, we will get you prepared for work.
CV Preparation - This process is initially focussed on getting your CV up to the mark. We want you to highlight all the skills you have gained throughout your journey with us and present yourself as the best candidate possible for future employers.
Mock Interview – This will be carried out by an external Accounting professional with yourself. During this process, you will have the experience of an actual interview, receive guidance, hints and tips for future improvement.
Job Guarantee* – At this stage, there is a significant chance that you may have already been offered employment. 80% of our candidates are employed within 3 months of this stage.
Our recruitment team will work closely with you and arrange interviews through our network of employers. You will then start to receive invitations to interviews and prepare to start your new career.
Our recruitment team will remain by your side until you are employed.
As this is a combination of training and hands-on practical work, you will have the certifications needed in this industry, but you’ll also gain the confidence required to succeed.

Stage 2 of the programme - 'Practical Training & Work Experience' commences at various times throuhgout the year, in either London or Birmingham.
Accounting Fast-Track (3-Days)
Helping you prepare for the following Practical Training element, making it useful for individuals who have only completed AAT Level 2 or equivalent Accounting qualifications, or current students. This training is for 3 days.
Practical Training (6 Days) & Work Experience (6 Days)
Practical Training - The bridge between academic knowledge and being industry ready. This training covers the key elements an entry-level Accountant would use on regular basis. This training is for 6 days.
Work Experience - While being supervised you will work on real client data, covering the elements you've studied throughout the programme. This training is also for 6 days, making the full Practical Training and Work Experience 12 days.
The AAT Accounting Level 2 Foundation Certificate will provide you with a basic knowledge of accounting principles and skills. At this level, finance administration is your main focus; and your knowledge in accounting starting to develop.
The five modules you'll cover through this course, are:
Learn how to reconcile a supplier’s statement, review double-entry processes, the cashbook, discounted transactions and payment records.
Feel confident preparing control accounts and using journals, better understand the banking system, manage petty cash, cash books and control accounts.
Understand how to use spreadsheets to budget effectively and calculate product costs. Gain experience with manufacturing accounts, product coding and costing for inventories, as well as looking at labour costing.
Start to form the required skills to process transactions professionally, using Sage 50 computerised accounting software, establish how to set up a company effectively, manage ledgers, enter sales and purchase transactions, and get to grips with payments and banking receipts.
Explore what it takes to become an effective member of the Accounting team, learn to complete accounting and payroll functions, and gain an understanding of professional ethics. You will also work on essential business skills, which include personal development and managing your workload.
The synoptic assessment will ask students to apply knowledge and skills gained across the qualification in an integrated way, within a workplace context. Scenarios will change over time to ensure the validity of the assessment.

AAT - Level 2 Certificate in Accounting Exams:
The exams will need to be taken at your local AAT test centre and the format includes multiple choice questions. Don’t worry, we’ll give you all the information and support you need to book your exams, when you’re ready. Exam fees are not included in the course cost and will be approximately £60-85 per exam and will vary by exam centre.
AAT require all students to join as a student member but don’t worry, the membership fee is something we have included within our courses! Just be sure to register as a student member within 14 days of your course start date please. This registration allows you to sit any necessary exams and take advantage of the support and resources available.
*This course is compatible with Windows and Mac devices but please note that the Sage 50 software is only compatible with Windows.
Building on the skills and techniques you developed throughout Level 2, this level will enable you to understand and perform more complex accounting processes, such as advanced double-entry bookkeeping, implementing procedures for acquisition and disposal of non-current assets, preparing and recording depreciation calculations, and more!
What are the AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting online course modules?
The six modules that you’ll cover on this course, are:
Learn how to comprise the valuation of inventory, understand the disposal of non-current assets, use sub-divided accounting systems to prepare trial balances and reconciliations, and more.
Understand the process of preparing accounts for different types of businesses and learn how to prepare final accounts from incomplete records.
Start to form a deeper understanding of preparing budget accounts for company costs, such as labour, materials and expenses, as well as knowing how to forecast company revenues.
Feel confident in more complex elements to VAT legislation, governing costs and explore how to prepare a VAT tax return.
Gain a deeper knowledge of ethical guidelines and practices within accounting, as well as the legal considerations which apply to members in practice.

The exam format includes multiple choice questions, where you select answers from a dropdown menu and type numbers and text into fields.

This bridging course designed to ensure you are refreshed on all the important elements you will be covering in the practical elements of the programme. This is particularly useful for those entering Stage 2 of the programme with AAT Level 2 or equivalent qualifications. Over the 3-days you will cover:
Your 12 days of practical training and work experience will cover the fundamental areas of accounting which is most sought after in industry.
This training will be essential if you are to go and work in industry or you wish to start your own business.
You will have the opportunity to apply everything you learnt during the practical training when you are working on live client accounts throughout your work experience.
