How to run Sage on an Apple Mac!

Sage software mainly uses Windows as a compatible operating system. The only software that can run on any operating system that has an internet browser is Sage One, however, that isn’t the most popular version of the Sage software being used today.

Sage 50 Accounts, Sage 50 Payroll and Sage Instant Accounts, among all other versions, are only compatible with Windows. But, there is a way that you can install Windows on a Mac.

There are many different versions of Apple Mac available, including Macbook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and iMac. They all share the same Mac OS X operating system.

If you use Sage for work but feel like you could benefit from a refresher, we offer a wide range of Sage certified courses, including our Sage & AAT Accounting & Payroll Master Package, to help you gain a thorough understanding of the most recognised accounting software in the industry.

Boot Camp

Boot Camp is a software that enables you to install Windows on a Mac. Sage will also fully support their software that is already running in a Boot Camp environment.

Boot Camp comes with your Mac and will let you install Microsoft Windows, should that be your operating system of choice.

Once you have installed Boot Camp, you can install the Windows operating system on your Mac and, hey presto, your Sage software is functional.

If you're using Boot Camp you must check you're using a supported version of windows for your version of Boot Camp. To check if you're using a compatible version please visit https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201468

e-Careers also offer professional Sage qualifications and courses.
