What is IOSH?

IOSH stands for the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health. It is a not-for-profit institution, health and safety membership organisation, and awarding body.

IOSH training comprises short health and safety courses to a variety of levels. When you have completed your IOSH course, you will have gained a strong understanding of workplace health and safety.

These IOSH certifications are highly regarded and internationally recognised, making them a great addition to your other accolades and accreditations.

IOSH training can be completed in just a few days, which is ideal for those with limited time.

Due to the fundamental level of training, IOSH qualifications are designed for non-health and safety professionals looking to become more efficient in the workplace and help manage risks.

Snapshot of the benefits of IOSH courses

Undertaking ISO training will benefit you and your organisation in a range of ways:

  • IOSH training is suitable for non-health and safety individuals looking to manage risk and resources, so you don’t have to be a specialist to get started!
  • As these qualifications are short, they can be used to quickly build higher-level knowledge and practical skills.
  • Gain a better understanding of health and safety and become more aware of how to improve workplace safety, irrespective of your current job role or experience level.
  • A great training option for all team members and managers wanting to understand health and safety fundamentals.
  • Help to minimise risk in your workplace.
  • Energise and motivate staff to make improvements around your workplace and within their own lives.
