Syllabus

This program covers the same comprehensive syllabus as the standard CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management, but the work placement allows you to put these concepts into practice.

  • Organisational performance and culture in practice (5CO01): This module examines the connection between an organisation's structure, strategy, and culture. You will learn how to influence and improve culture to drive better business results and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Evidence-based practice (5CO02): This unit teaches you how to use data, analytics, and research to inform your decisions as a people professional. You will move beyond intuition to make credible and ethical choices that create value for the business.
  • Professional behaviours and valuing people (5CO03): This module focuses on the ethical and professional conduct required of a people leader. You will learn how to champion inclusive strategies, lead with courage, and build positive, trusting relationships with your colleagues.

CIPD Level 5 assessments

There are no exams for the CIPD Level 5 in People Management. Instead, you’ll complete seven written assignments (three core modules, three specialist modules, and one optional module).

How Assessment Works:

  • For each module, you can first submit a draft assignment for tutor feedback.
  • You’ll then have up to three attempts to pass each assignment.
  • Your tutor will guide you through revisions to help you meet CIPD standards.
  • Once approved, your final submission is sent to CIPD for validation.
