One of the responsibilities of a Mortgage Adviser is to help people decide which financial products, services, and providers is best for them. To advise your clients legally, you must be qualified, and the benchmark qualification for Mortgage Advisers in the UK is the ‘Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice’ (CeMAP).
There are three Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice modules:
CeMAP Module 1 explores the Financial Services Environment, product range and UK Financial Services regulation. You will also learn about the Data Protection Act 1998, the FCA regulation, and UK taxation.
CeMAP Module 2 provides you with the knowledge of the mortgage application process, such as potential issues borrowers may face once they have completed the buying process and understand mortgage law.
CeMAP Module 3 teaches you how to apply all that you have learnt in Modules 1 and 2 into typical scenarios you will face as a professional Mortgage Adviser.
CeRER If you would like to offer equity release advice, you would also need to earn your Certificate in Regulated Equity Release (CeRER). View our CeRER training course.
The price for CeMAP training varies by study method. Below we have outlined the price for training for both our Online training courses and Virtual Classroom sessions Please be mindful that these prices do not include the cost of exams, which we have outlined below:

Exam Fees
The exam fees are £185 per module, and you can apply anytime during the year. For CeMAP Modules 1, 2 & 3, you will pay £555 for the cost of all three exams. Re-sits are £150 each.
