The problem
Most organisations know AI matters. Few know where to start.
You hear about AI every day. You believe it can help your business. But the questions you'd need to answer to act on it confidently are the ones that quietly raise the most anxiety.
The risk isn't doing nothing, it's drifting. Tools like ChatGPT get adopted ad-hoc. Sensitive data ends up in the wrong places. Training is generic and forgotten. Pilots happen but no one measures them. Competitors who move with structure pull ahead.
ACT (AI Consulting and Training from e-Careers) replaces that drift with structured AI consultation and a clear, evidence-based route from audit, to capability, to measurable improvement.
Questions we help you answer with confidence
- QWhere are we on our AI journey?
- QWhere are the quickest, safest wins in our business?
- QWhich departments or roles should go first?
- QDo our people have the right training to use AI effectively?
- Q What policies and approval processes do we need in place?
- QHow do we measure ROI?
ACT — AI Training & Consulting
We share the risk. So you can start.
Most business leaders we speak to want to act on AI, but worry about paying for projects that don't pay back. We've heard it too often: "we believe AI can help, but we can't afford to be wrong."
So we built ACT, our AI consulting services and training solution, around a simple commitment. Most consultancies and AI agencies get paid the same whether their work delivers value or not. We don't think that's fair for SMEs.
By measuring outcomes before we build and charging only for implementation work against verified savings, we tie our success to yours. It's a model that's rare in industry and it's deliberately designed for SMEs who need to embrace AI with no up-front risk.

One structured starting point.
Measurable progress. Competitive advantage.
ACT is built around our four foundations of AI strategy consulting and gives you a single 1 to 10 readiness score to track your AI impact progression over time.
Strategy
Outcome clarity, leadership alignment, use-case prioritisation, value measurement.
Skills
Employee confidence, knowledge, skills and safe-use behaviour by role.
Systems
Approved tools, governance, access, data handling, policy and security controls.
Scale
Pilots, champions, support routes, learning loops and impact tracking.
How ACT works
A clear path from where you are to
where AI starts paying back.
No long discovery projects. No expensive transformation engagements. Just three steps.
What you receive
A bespoke audit report, not a generic AI checklist.
Your AI consultation report combines stakeholder insight, employee feedback and workflow discovery into one structured view your leadership team can act on. Typically delivered within 21 days of survey completion.
What we build and what we deliver
Real work. Measurable outcomes. Across every department.

How ACT works
What these projects look like in practice
Some case studies of recent projects we have undertaken across a wide range of industries.
FINANCE Document + email automation
Invoices going through four people before reaching the system
"Our finance team spends half their week downloading invoices from email, checking them against purchase orders and keying everything in by hand. It's reliable but it's also two people doing work a system should do."
We built an automated pipeline that extracts invoice data from email and PDFs, validates against PO records, flags exceptions for human review and posts clean entries directly into the accounting system, all with a full audit trail.
85%reduction in processing time
99%extraction accuracy
2.5d → 4hend-to-end cycle
HR & PEOPLE Knowledge assistant
HR inbox full of questions already answered in the handbook
"Every week, managers and new starters email HR to ask about leave, expenses, probation and IT access. The answers exist in documents nobody can find quickly. Our HR team is fielding the same 15 questions on repeat."
We built an AI knowledge assistant trained on the organisation's own policies, handbooks and SOPs. Staff get instant, accurate answers via a chat interface and HR is automatically notified when questions fall outside the knowledge base.
73%fewer routine HR queries
Instantanswers, 24/7
Livepolicy updates reflected immediately
OPERATIONS Reporting automation
Every Monday morning, the same report built by hand
"Our ops lead spends three to four hours every Monday pulling figures from three different systems to produce a weekly performance pack. By the time it lands with the leadership team, the data is already a day old."
We connected the data sources, built an automated reporting pipeline and created live dashboards with a narrative summary generated each week. The report is ready before 7am with no manual work required.
14+ hrsper month reclaimed
7amreport ready automatically
Livedashboards replace static decks
SALES Predictive analytics
The forecast was a conversation, not a number anyone trusted
"Our pipeline reviews rely on rep gut feel and CRM notes. There's no consistent scoring. Deals go cold without warning. Our forecast accuracy is around 50%, so the board is making resourcing decisions on hope."
We implemented an AI-powered pipeline scoring model that analyses deal signals, activity patterns and historical close data to flag at-risk opportunities, rank likely closers and produce a reliable weekly forecast automatically.
84%forecast accuracy (up from ~50%)
3 weeksearlier warning on at-risk deals
30%more pipeline reviewed per session
CUSTOMER SERVICE Ticket triage + agent assist
Every customer query went into one inbox and waited its turn
"We get hundreds of queries a week ranging from technical issues, billing, complaints, routine requests. All arriving in one shared inbox. Priority customers sit in the same queue as everyone else. The team is triaging by hand before they've even started solving."
We built an intelligent triage layer that classifies, prioritises and routes every incoming query automatically. Agents receive a pre-drafted response suggestion and a summary of relevant history, ready to review and send in seconds.
68%of tickets auto-triaged and routed
6 hrs → 45 minaverage first response time
Liveteam capacity for complex cases
LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT Approval workflows
Approvals were managed over email. Nobody knew what had been signed off.
"Purchase sign-offs, contract reviews and HR authorisations all live in email threads. Decisions stall. Documents get lost. When questions arise about what was approved and by whom, and when, nobody has a clear answer."
We built a structured approval workflow with automated routing, deadline tracking, escalation logic and a complete audit trail for every decision. Approvers receive a pre-prepared summary and can act in one click from any device.
60%faster average decision time
100%audit trail on every approval
Zeroapprovals lost or missed
After the audit
Three ways we help you act on what the audit reveals.
You're never tied in. The audit is the start of the conversation, not a sales contract. Choose the AI consulting and implementation services that fit your priorities, your governance maturity and your appetite for change.
NO UP-FRONT COST · A MODEL BUILT FOR ORGANISATIONS WHO ARE KEEN BUT NOT CLEAR
Value-share implementation. You pay from value created, not from assumed benefit.
For suitable automation builds, we identify the opportunity, agree the measurement approach, build before-and-after dashboards, deliver the solution, and share in the verified business gains.
Why we do this. Most consultancies and AI agencies get paid the same whether their work pays back or not. SMEs can't afford that risk. By tying our fees to verified outcomes, we keep ourselves accountable, filter for opportunities that genuinely create value, and let you embrace AI without betting your budget on hope.
Subject to suitability. This model does not usually apply to fixed-fee training, policy or document development, ongoing maintenance or upgrades, hosting or non-implementation consulting.

Training, layered by role
Turn AI awareness into role-level capability your business can measure.
Our training is delivered in layers, customised by prior knowledge, role, ambitions and outcomes and can be mapped to specific departments such as finance, sales, marketing, operations, IT, HR or leadership. People build skills they apply directly to live workflows, not generic theory.
Each layer can be delivered as a standalone, stacked into a full development pathway, or blended with hands-on coaching. Our format flexes between eLearning and instructor-led, or a blend of both. Cost is dependent on the number of delegates. Organisations based in England can access government funding through the apprenticeship levy.

Questions leaders ask before they start AI strategy consulting.
What's the catch with the free audit?
There isn't one. The AI readiness audit is normally £3,500 and we're offering it free during this campaign because we know it's the moment most SMEs need clarity. There's no obligation to take any next step and many clients use the report internally to align their leadership team and decide their own path.
How long does the audit actually take?
The survey itself takes around 10 minutes per respondent. We'd typically include a small group of senior stakeholders and employees across the functions you want to assess. From survey close to delivered report is usually within 21 working days.
We've already got people using ChatGPT — do we still need this?
Often yes, and arguably more so. Informal AI use without policy, approved tools or measurement is one of the most common risk patterns we see. The audit will tell you where employees are ahead of governance, where sensitive data may be exposed, and which use cases are worth structuring properly.
What if we're not ready for AI?
That's exactly what the audit is designed for. Most organisations we audit score between 3 and 5 on the AI Adoption Gauge, meaning they're early-stage but ready to begin structured pilot work. The report makes the right next steps obvious, even if some of those steps are non-AI process improvements or governance work first.
How does the no-up-front-cost model actually work?
For suitable automation builds, we agree the opportunity and the measurement approach, build a baseline dashboard, deliver the solution, and share in the verified savings, typically 50% of Year 1 verified savings, 25% of Year 2, and 10% of Year 3. You pay from value created, not from forecasts. The model does not usually apply to fixed-fee training, policy development, maintenance, upgrades, hosting or non-implementation consulting.
Is our data safe? We have sensitive client information.
The audit itself collects only the information your stakeholders and employees provide through the survey and no system access is required. For implementation work, every candidate workflow is classified for sensitivity (low / medium / high) before build begins, with agreed storage, retention and human review points. High-sensitivity workflows only proceed once policy, approvals and auditability are sufficiently strong. Full NDA's will be in place prior to commencement.
Why e-Careers' AI consulting and implementation services, rather than a generic AI agency?
Because effective training and implementation need to sit in one joined-up approach. Most agencies build automations and walk away. Most training providers run courses without context. ACT brings them together as a UK AI consultancy; your training is matched to the workflows we're improving, and your champions are identified through the same audit that prioritises the work. That's how AI starts paying back consistently.
Do we need to involve IT before booking the audit?
No. The audit is a structured survey and there's no system access or data integration involved at this stage. IT involvement typically becomes relevant later, when implementation opportunities are scoped. Many of our clients use the audit report itself as the document that brings IT, leadership and operations into a shared conversation.
