Christine Baxter

Christine Baxter

Christine Baxter is an entrepreneur and accountant. She has run her own companies for over forty years alongside 26 years of working in adult education. She began in state education as an accountancy lecturer, quickly rising to lead the faculty to become one of the largest in the South of England. In 2000 she became one of the first pioneers in accounting distance learning by designing and writing her first full AAT distance learning programme. Her belief that distance learning was the future for adult learning, required her to move into private sector education in 2012. There she designed, wrote and built an online learning college from scratch. She took the online college to a top 10 UK position before moving away to focus on her writing. Christine’s driving passion remains student centred learning. She is currently focusing on remedying the pressures associated with adult learning.
