We are honoured to announce that e-Careers has received the prestigious award of AAT Distance Learning Provider of the Year 2026. The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is the leading UK accountancy awarding body. Their AAT awards rank the highest in the accountancy industry alongside the PQ Magazine Accounting Awards.
The award was presented to Harri Dhillon Co-CEO of e-Careers, Karen Groves AAT Tutor of the Year 2024 and Katy Hickey AAT Student of the Year 2025. Harri Dhillon said after the ceremony:
“At e-careers we are very student driven, we always listen to student feedback to grow and build the best programmes possible to deliver high pass rates and career progression for our learners. We are also excited to receive this award for our work in widening student participation through offering work experience that leads to permanent accounting employment. This award is recognition of the dedication given by our tutors, coaches and support teams who ensure our courses are successful. Most importantly, the award is recognition to our students who have trusted us with their learner journey”.
For e-Careers to win the award over the other training providers shortlisted with us, First Intuition, Premier Training and ICS Learn, is the highest praise possible.
Winning the award is acknowledgement that our continuous innovations have delivered a high level of impact and real change to students studying AAT professional education.
At e-Careers we don’t just deliver professional training, we deliver careers with work experience. When students enrol with us, they enrol on the most comprehensive study package available which goes well beyond standard training courses.
Why e-Careers were voted the best AAT Distance Learning Provider 2026:
Our training was recognised for its diversity in equally meeting the needs of all learning styles. The needs were met via course content that is designed for compatibility with the four key learning styles giving all students an equal opportunity to succeed.
It was acknowledged that our industry leading AAT online course along with four methods of lectures: Live Online Classroom, Recorded Lectures , Exam Preparation Lectures and Back on Track Lectures, backed with hardcopy Kaplan study textbooks and digital workbooks delivered the most comprehensive range of study methods available in one affordable single package. Likewise, when the methods were accompanied by additional supporting materials of videos, question banks, flash cards and presentation slides it was said that the package was standalone amongst other provider packages. Also noted in the presentation speech was the quality of our fast-response tutor support led by Karen Groves, Faculty Director of Accounting who won AAT Tutor of the Year 2024.
The e-Careers commitment to affordability was particularly noted as was proving that delivering multiple method courses can be delivered at one low-cost price, whilst supporting high-levels of quality and innovation.
Overall in summarising why e-Careers stand out in the accounting industry, is to look at how beneficial the e-Careers package is to the success outcome of our students. Our students are some of the most successful AAT students in the UK. They frequently achieve distinctions and merits in their exams, and the majority of exams are passed at the first attempt. A testament to the success of our AAT students is Katy Hickey who was voted AAT Student of the Year 2025.
Another ground-breaking first for e-Careers is the launch of our Career Academy work experience programmes. Everyone said it couldn’t be done, but we proved it could. We are the only training provider who can guarantee real work experience with a UK SME for up to 4 months.
Our flagship AAT work experience programmes since launch have now successfully trained, supported and placed over 1,500 students into a UK accounting team. This means students are able to put their study skills into practice with a real accounting company.
With placements being offered remotely, full or part-time, its flexibility to fit around existing commitments makes it easier for students to participate without having to quit their current job.
On completion of the work experience, students receive a detailed job reference from the host company, as well as a bespoke CV written for them, a Linkedin Bio created and a professional cover letter, meaning students have everything they need for future job applications. Job searches are also further supported with tailored job alerts which they'll continue to receive for ongoing employment support.
With 1 in 4 gaining employment with their placement company it is not surprising that e-Careers were recognised for pushing boundaries.
With over 200 applicants for every junior accounting vacancy, those students who take AAT work experience with e-Careers increase their likelihood of getting employed to 1 in 4 rather than 1 in 200. An amazing achievement acknowledged by AAT themselves.
Innovation and quality assurance are the drivers behind the standout qualities of e-Careers training. Over the past 5 years we have successfully trained over 10,000 AAT students giving us a wealth of knowledge, understanding and empathy with students through their feedback.
We listen to our learners and use their feedback to mould and shape any course refinement. Our students love our approachability, and this is recognised in our 15,000 strong Trustpilot reviews where we are rated 4.8 out of 5 stars.
AAT at e-Careers, has an exciting and bright future ahead.
