P3O® Practitioner Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Develop a robust business case to secure senior management approval for a P3O
• Identify and design the most appropriate P3O model, tailored to the organisation’s size, needs, and portfolio, programme, and project management maturity
• Define the key roles required to support and operate a chosen P3O structure
• Plan and manage the effective implementation of a P3O within an organisation
• Select and apply suitable tools and techniques to run a P3O and support those responsible for shaping the portfolio of programmes and projects

This is a five-day virtual classroom training course delivered by certified and experienced trainers. You’ll receive the official digital manual, pre-course materials, and full exam support services. The first part of the course covers the P3O Foundation, laying the groundwork in P3O principles, terminology, and core structures. The second part prepares you for the Practitioner level, where you’ll apply your knowledge to real-world scenarios.

By the end of the live online learning, you’ll understand how to build and manage an effective office structure that supports business change and strategic alignment. With expert trainers from an accredited training provider, you’ll cover everything needed for both the P3O Foundation & Practitioner exams.

P3O® Foundation

• Exam Format - Multiple choice.
• Number of questions - 70 live questions and five trials.
• Duration - 60 minutes.
• Pass mark - 35/70 (50%).
• Material allowed - None (Closed book).

P3O® Practitioner

• Exam format - Objective testing.
• Number of questions - Four questions with 20 marks each, 80 marks in total.
• Duration - 150 minutes
• Pass mark – 40/80 (50%).
• Materials allowed - Open book exam. Candidates may use the official printed hard copy of the Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices: P3O guide. The manual may be annotated and tabulated, but no sticky notes and loose-leaf papers containing additional notes will be allowed.
