What is ITIL®?


Information Technology Infrastructure Library, or ITIL®, is the world’s foremost IT service management qualification. ITIL® was developed by the Central Computing and Telecommunications Agency (CCTA) at the end of the 1980’s and since July 2013, it has been owned by AXELOS. The ITIL® certification scheme provides a modular approach to the ITIL® framework. There are five overall levels: Foundation, Practitioner, Intermediate, Expert and Master, and they are comprised of a series of qualifications focused on different aspects of ITIL® best practice.
